One of the ways KidVantage tries to relieve financial stress for families is by our holiday gift distribution. New toys are expensive, and as a parent if you’re already making decisions like buying diapers or paying rent, things can be especially difficult during the winter holiday season.  in 2021, we provided approximately 7,085 new toys, games, books, and puzzles to kids during the holidays which was the most we’ve ever done…until this past December.

Over 11,000 new toys, games, books, and puzzles went out to children!

Thanks to the Winter WishGiver drives, community members answering the call when we were desperate for new toys, Toys for Kids Seattle, and volunteers and staff working overtime, we were able to make it happen. This means that 2,300 kids received brand new gift bundles from KidVantage!

A 61% increase in holiday gift distribution from 2021

On the last day to get gift bundles out the door and to families, KidVantage Hubs were standing room only. Every shelf, cubby, and crevice had gift bags.  By the end of the day, with a sigh of relief, all the requests were filled and to the families.  When kids need it most, our network of advocates come through for the community. We can’t thank everyone enough for helping us keep up with the need, and providing holiday joy this winter!
