If you’re a Mariners fan like we are at KidVantage, you’ve probably heard the news.  Veteran reliever and KidVantage champion, Paul Sewald, has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks at the end of the 2023 MLB trade deadline.

We’d like to extend many thanks (and then many more) to the Sewald family for their kindness and generous support given to our organization and the community.  Over the past 2 years, Paul, Molly, and little Chloe have rallied hundreds of Mariners fans to step up and close the gaps for kids across Central Puget Sound.

Every strikeout, 138 as of today to be exact, has left a lasting impact and provided families with the tangible assistance they need to help their kids grow, play, learn, and thrive.  Sewald’s Strikeouts 4 Kids ensured children had warm coats in the winter, safe car seats for travel, enough formula to keep a baby nourished, and so much more.  Most importantly, families were relieved of toxic stress and didn’t have to make decisions between dinner or a jacket for their child, school supplies or making rent.

We’d also like to say a special thanks to the incredible fans that stood alongside Paul and Molly pledging per strikeout, and the Seattle Mariners Organization for their support with Sewald’s Strikeouts 4 Kids.

To Paul & Molly— we are excited to see what joy you will bring others in your future and the stories you will write with this new opportunity!  You have been KidVantage’s MVPs!
