Green Power Solar Grant

The Alliance Center, KidVantage’s home in Kent, received a grant from Puget Sound Energy (PSE) funded by participants of Green Power and Solar Choice in which PSE installed a new 30.38 kilowatt solar array (solar panels) at the property.

This new solar array will convert 45% of the Alliance Center’s annual electricity usage to renewable energy, reducing operating costs allowing the nonprofits to focus on more outreach in the community.

In 2022, KidVantage piloted our ‘Mini Hub’ in Kent to serve as a distribution center for our partner providers in South King County and Pierce County.  For several years, KidVantage has been serving these partners from our Issaquah location, but as we’ve seen need grow in this part of our region, we made the choice to expand and open a location closer to the providers, families, and children.  Read more about our Kent expansion here.
