Join us in observing Child Passenger Safety Week!
Child Passenger Safety Week is an annual observance led by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to help educate parents and caregivers about the proper use of car seats, booster seats, and seat belts for children of all ages and sizes.

Questions? Email us at carseatcheck@kidvantagenw.org. There is no cost to attend, but a suggested donation of $10 per seat checked will help purchase car seats for local families who cannot afford them.

Did you know that every day in 2024, an average of two children (14 and under) lost their lives and 349 were injured in traffic crashes while riding in passenger vehicles?
These numbers are shocking, but together we can help keep children safer. According to NHTSA, car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants and by 54% for toddlers (1 to 4 years old) in passenger cars.
Car seats save lives! That’s why KidVantage is committed to spreading the word and helping families keep their kids safe on the road.
